The Gmail email service, offered by Google, seems to, for whatever reason, periodically destroy the encoding of Unicode Hindi characters, making them unreadable, indeed, even unparsable as Unicode. Pasting the corrupted Unicode into this application will repair the damage. Attempting to use this utility with scripts other than Unicode Devanagari will probably not do anything useful.
